Mountain Biking

Here we have a quiet part of the world, well away from the crowds and just outside of the Snowdonia National Park boundary. This ‘double top’ ride follows a wonderful zig-zagging route on the western flank of the Berwyn mountain range. 4km of road work leads to 22km of off-road heaven with two long climbs taken on track and grass respectively. Remote and wild feeling, especially on the second half the route gives wide views and interesting cycling with some technical interest. Shortening the route to just the first half of the ride reduces the grade from Red to Blue/Red, though there is still 500m of climbing to be undertaken.

The route should be possible throughout most of the year, however during the winter the higher sections of the route may be blocked by snow.

Start from the car park and conveniences in the village of Llandrillo.
